Yoga for the Seasons
Yoga for the Seasons blends yoga asana and Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science. Through movement and breathing, asana brings awareness and balance into the body and mind while Ayurveda keeps the body healthy. Combined, your practice can honor your individual constitution or Dosha (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) while practicing according to the time of life, time of day and season. This fall practice will utilize specific postures and breath to inwardly ground and warm as, outwardly, the weather becomes colder and more erratic. Just as the leaves fall from the trees and the plants become dormant, let go of what you no longer need and turn inwards.
