The word yoga means to yoke or bind. It is an ancient system for bringing balance to your body and mind that involves both physical and mental practice.

In our yoga classes, you can expect a variety of techniques for moving the body and calming the mind through physical asana (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and more.

Each class is different and we recommend reading the descriptions for a better understanding of what to expect in each class.

What are the benefits of yoga?

There are many benefits to yoga. Below are some of the most-loved:

  • Building flexibility, balance, and physical strength
  • Increased awareness of the present moment
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

You do not need to “be” anything to do yoga. Yoga will help you find more flexibility, strength, and balance in your physical body but is also a practice for finding mental peace, emotional healing, and spiritual growth.

What should I wear?

We recommend that you simply dress comfortably. Clothes that all you to move and stretch are best for flow classes and most students practice barefoot for a better grip on their mat. Socks are optional but shoes are not allowed in the practice room.

I’ve never done yoga before, what do I need to know?

You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you have time to fill out a liability waiver, meet your teacher, and get set up on your mat in time for class to start.

What should I bring to class?

You will want a yoga mat, water, and an open mind. Any other belongings can be stored in our cubbies during class. If you bring a phone with you to store in our cubbies, please turn it off for the duration of class.

How do I signup?

Due to COVID-19 and limited space, we are requiring pre-registration for classes. Registration closes 30-minutes prior to start-time. You can sign-up here or via the MINDBODY app from your smartphone.
